Mansol (Preforms) Limited is one of Europe’s largest and most experienced manufacturers of sintered glass products. We are proud to have been a British owned company since the 1950’s. Our 2,500 sq.m. modern factory is situated in the east of England and offers excellent links to London and Europe with Stansted Airport being only 40 miles away.
Preforms & Fibre Optic Sealing
The Company is dedicated to the manufacture and supply of sintered glass preforms, glass support rods, miniature lamp beads and fibre-optic sealing preforms for the Electronics industry. Preforms can be made from either our standard glass range or our new low temperature materials.

We offer over fifty glass and ceramic materials in various colours. The materials are split into different categories.
Research & Development
We have recently developed a range of unique low temperature lead free glasses, new binder systems and micro-presses for the production of high precision micro preforms. We are also a member of Lucideon Research UK and Reach Ready. We work as R&D partners with many well known International companies such as Corning, Schott and Ferro. We also regularly work with University Students on PHD projects and can offer assistance and use of our equipment if required. In 2019 we will work as a partner on a major UK Government Grant for the Photonics Industry.
